Are there any studies to support bio-identical hormone therapy?

We agree that there needs to be further research not only for bio-identical/body-identical hormones replacement therapy (BHRT) but into synthetic hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

So far the research into BHRT is very positive such as the large French E3N study which concludes that BHRT and in particular bio-identical progesterone has shown reduced levels of disease risk for women using it as opposed to women using the synthetic progestins which were shown in the Women’s Health Initiative study to increase the risk of breast cancer and other diseases. This was the main reason millions of women stopped taking hormone replacement therapy and which caused a major reduction in the income of the large pharmaceutical companies. A number of these pharmaceutical companies have found themselves facing court actions and have set aside hundreds of millions of dollars to compensate the successful litigants.
